I’ve just acquired this on DVD today from Amazon. It’s basically a documentary retelling the story of the Battle by using a lot of out-take footage from the film Battle of Britain, along with some new stuff, and input from numerous veterans from both sides.
The out-takes are fantastic, if slightly repetitive, and the commentary is OK, however revealing new to most of us. The first disk contains three documentaries – “The Few”, “Darkest Hour”, “The Blitz”, while the second disk contains a picture gallery, background to the Battle of Britain, and a documentary on the Sea Hurricane.
What struck me, however, was the brief clip of the infamous “Proctuka” in flight!! 😮 I had to wind the film back to make sure I wasn’t imagining things, but sure enough, there it was, head-on and diving towards the camera!! 😀

made me all nostalgic now…
I’m 41 – I had the Dinky Spitfire & Stuka from the Battle Of Britain movie tie in, also the Hurricane and Phantom – I thought that they were the bees knees, when you see them now they look less wonderful! – I loved them though, the Stuka bomb could take a cap in the nose – the caps, detachable bomb and swastika will all be banned now!

Haven’t seen that site since I lost all my bookmarks (Thanks, Firefox!! 😡 )
I knew photos of the Proctuka existed – not flying footage of it!

http://www.strijdbewijs.nl/film/bob/pag2.htm – if you can read Dutch it may tell you more – but a decent snap of a bomb carrying Proctuka

I may have slightly over-egged the “dive” slightly, it may only have been a shallow(ish) dive (or not even a dive at all – just flying fast towards the camera at an angle perceived to be a dive).
Will see if I can get a screen-grab of the beast, however.

Can you frame grab on a PC?
Can you grab a frame on a PC and post it? I always read that they flew (after a fashion) in a straight line but they were not stable enough to throw around the sky at all?
