Researching another aviation problem I came across this aircraft, EC-EAA, M-CEAA, EC-BAJ. Anybody have any further information on the plane or its fate? It has a quoted c/n of 4650 which doesn’t relate to any Gipsy sequence.

Janie hasn’t spotted my little typo yet …
Don’t mention the war – but I think you got away with it…..
Either she is busy keeping in flying practice ready for Newforest or else Mummy’s found out her little secret and grounded her. 😀 😀 😀

Janie, there you go. He’s a member of this forum which is sufficient grounds for mutual disagreement in itself. Take the poor fool flying if you dare:D
Mike.

In an early 1980’s FlyPast Bob Ogden did an article on his recovery of the Moth Major remains from Sweden. Included in the article was a picture of a sad looking Moth Major on a Spanish dump – I presume it’s the same machine.

By request, title amended for Janie’s benefit. Let me know if I’ll ever get to the front of your P2 seat – I have MCC training you know so am completely house-trained 😉

Janie, your PM’s are full!:D
By: Chipmunk Carol - 20th October 2007 at 17:25
Well. That’s not a bad start. 😉
Is there anyone out there who knows me who can vouch for this gentleman?
Cambs is local. You’ll need to stay a bit longer if you want to go flying though.
What was ‘DO’? (other than an aeroplane!)
What stopped you doing aeros?
Your promise has been acknowledged!
And you still want to go flying, even though my arithmetic/prooofreading is suspect! Mad fool!

If you want a flight, there’s five things that you need to do:
1. Be within driving distance of S.E. England. Was in Cambridge last week!
2. Get me some good references so I know you are not a psychotic nutcase.I used to own ‘DO
3. Get some good references from people who say you won’t complain when you find out I’m the one who is mad.I used to do aerobatics
4. Promise not to tell my Mummy I’m a pilot. She thinks I’m a piano player in a brothel.Hope it’s boogie!
5. Never spell or write de Havilland or Gipsy incorrectly ever again. 🙂
Promise:)

But that’s five!
Sums! Sums! Don’t get me on sums! I’m much better at colouring in.

Felt sure that one of our forum super sleuths would have come up with an identity by now.
I always thought it was a Moth Major and assumed it was an ex Spanish AF example without a civil history but am prepared to be proved wrong on this.
Any enthusiasts’ groups in Spain that might know?

I have been in contact with Spanish groups about my identity problem and they all seem to speak Spanish!:o

Newforest
I’ll do you a deal! If you correct your thread title from “Gypsy”:( to “Gipsy”, I’ll remove this post. 🙂
It’s not just a case of pedantry, it’s the fact that people use the forum for searches which may mean your thread was overlooked.
You know it makes sense!!
Big thanks
Janie
🙂
Cost you a flight! I think only Mods can alter ‘titles’ oh the power and Blue Robin hasn’t done so yet! Advice appreciated.:)

EC-ACN c/n 1916 registered to Aero Club San Sebastian in 1974 and at the same time EC-ACO c/n 1918 registered to the Aero Club Seville. Yes, more help is needed on this one .
