D Lewis Ltd

Does anyone remember D Lewis Ltd of Great Portland street?
The company used to manufacture & supply aviation clothing from the 20’s to the 50’s. D Lewis were contractors to the RAF and “Goverments throughout the world” according to their brochures. Alex Henshaw wore one of their early jerkins (with large map pocket on the front) during his Capetown dash.
I’d be interested in hearing from any of you who used the shop or remember it or its products as I am trying to research the company and put a collection of their old catalogues together along with old advertising etc.
