Fokker D.VII replica C-GWII suffered power loss and came down in a field near Geneseo, NY.

Got a reference, Roger? The NTSB are the air-accident investigators in the US. I can’t see anything relating to the D.7 on their website though.

I was able to walk around the airframe last Saturday evening in a hangar in Geneseo. I didn’t see the wings (must have been stored elsewhere), but the fuselage appears broken (bent at least) immediately behind the cockpit. There were leaves in the engine openings.
I didn’t witness the incident having just left the airfield to check in at the college dorms.

A sad weekend with Fred Murrin’s Sopwith Camel replica also down in the States.
Thankfully both pilots it seems are going to pull through in due course.
