OV-10B Bronco 99+32/G-BZGK made its first flight at Duxford today in the hands of its owner Tony De Bruyn following a protracted overhaul and certification process that started with its arrival in October 2001. Following completion of a successful 30 minute flight it made a further test flight in the hands of Dan Griffiths later this afternoon.
Congratulations to the owner and all the various engineers that have been involved in its overhaul and repair over the years. 🙂
Sorry but my pictures are on film!

FMK – the pictures are not free ! You had to buy the camera in the first place. Compare digital with a film camera in the same spec and you will find that you are paying a premium for digital technology which will slowly decline as the years go by.

Sticking with slide film? Me too! I will not use anything else as long as I can still get film.

I know how much this distresses you Merlin 70, especially as four of my film pictures made it out of the camera and into the current edition of Flypast, and them being on the first two news pages as well. Quite shocking in the modern age of digital technology. :p
Sorry to have missed out on your pics, I haven’t seen inside the cover of one of those for months, maybe even years. The simple reason being by the time the news is printed it has been on this or another forum for several weeks.
The exception to this seems to be your pics. I might just have to visit W.H.S$174s and have a quick read.

Nikon FM (stands for “full manual”? the light meter is the only thing that uses the battery, film speed [35mm], aperture, exposure time, and focus are all selected by the operator), since 1982.
Whot’s digital photography look like?
Thats funny I have one of those “full manual” widgets on my Nikon too and the 500+ pictures I will take tomorrow at RIAT will cost me……£0 :diablo: .

Great news. The chance of having this Bronco at our Wings And Wheels event here in Belgium has grown! (www.wingsandwheels.be) We had this aircraft confirmed for some time now and it’s great to see this news.
Well done guys!

Roobarb. Do catch up old chap. We’ve all gone digital here.
It simply isn’t good enough these days to say, “oh by the way just seen a …. in the circuit. It looked bloody fantastic, can’t share the sight with you you know, dashed film is still in the camera”.

I’m still on wet collodion – ask Damien, who has had the misfortune to meet me and my photographic kit!

I do hope the Spitfire LFPR IXe ‘UB425’ has digital cameras fitted inside her ports when she’s rolled out of the hangar door.:D
These days a film is what you watch on your HD screen at home isn’t it?
Oh by the way, thanks for the info on the Bronco. I recall seeing it on a participants list for a show across the channel.

Great news I was wondering what was going on with the Broncos.
Come on Duxford let’s have a Vietnam era show.
The Bronco (when its done), Spads, Huey’s (well two anyway), A-26, Bearcat, Corsairs, Jungie Sea King to play the Jolly Green part and what have you. The light aircraft people could provide the O-2 and O-1.
Oh, yes and the rollout of the restored Thud.;)
Get the Luftwaffe to bring some Phantoms!

Excellent news, well done. I was beginning to resign myself to the fact that taxiing was all we were ever going to see it do. Look forward to seeing her in the future.
