Between the Blackburn Buccaneer Society, Quicksilver WSR, The Buccaneer Engineering Support Team Pirates & Bournemouth Aviation Museum, a day of celebrations are being planned to mark the 50th Anniversary of the first flight of a Blackburn NA.39 Buccaneer, at Bournemouth Aviation Museum, Hurn, Dorset on Sunday, April 27th 2008.
Unforunately, we are unable to hold the event on the 30th of the month (which would be the official day) due to it being the middle of the week and we are trying to gain as much exposure as possible, so a weekend is the better bet.
The plans are at a very early stage, but I would like to be able to gain some numbers in advance, so that I can prepare for the event and make necessary adjustments where needed.
For those of you further North, a second event is being planned elsewhere and aims to following the same guidelines as our own, I will post more details once I have them.
In the meantime, if you are interested in attending our event at Bournemouth, please either PM me or email me directly at buccaneers2b@btinternet.com with your address and a head count of the amount of people you are likely to be taking with you.
More details about the Southern event will posted in the near future.
Cheers for now.
