Been off line for a while and have missed the forum…. BlueNoser352 checking in to the best site on the internet for discussing WW II aviation and just had to post this very nice footage of the late Ray Hanna taken at Biggin Hill in 2000. One can just never tire of looking at great flying skills like this by one of the best ! Great way to see many of the older clips of the Spitfire in action off Youtube.com ! Just turn up the speakers and enjoy. Hope everyone is well out there in FLYPAST land. Just go back from Normandy and meet many fine British & Amereican veterans in my travels…what a place to visit ! Hope the ghost at Bodney are at rest tonight …if any of you happen to pass by in the next day or so… pass on my best regards and salute for a job well done by the men of the 352nd Fighter Group ! A salute to the late Ray & Mark Hanna from across the big pond !

Yes i saw MH434 yesterday tucked away in the hangar un-used which is a bit of a waste of such a great aircraft.
But i had a bit of an epithany yesterday as while the mustangs were doing their flyby’s near the end one reminded me of ‘that’ scene from the end of Empire Of The Sun, so it is not just the spitfire that he is remembered for.

:confused: :confused: He was certainly missed at Legends,MH434 poignantly sat in the Hangar with a piece of paper stuck to her elevators stating “Serviceable but not required for Legends 2007”,how sad,what a time it would’ve been to pay tribute to a great display team,Ray and mh434.:confused:
