Hello All
One of the headliners looks ever more likely to make Legends!
Did I say that too soon?
Exquisite P40B closer towards test flying before the weekend. Steve Hinton was on hand and I had the chance to talk about Glacier Girl; naturally they are gutted but understandably they do not want to take risks with an engine change in Goose Bay under time pressures! Too valuable an aircraft to risk at this time. Very friendly, approachable and professional man.
Next year!? Enjoy the shots.

If I’m not mistaken the guy in white shorts is Matt Nightingale. He has been flying and working for the Planes of Fame for many years. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Ed Maloney walking around at Duxford during this weekend either.

i seem to remember reading somewhere that the earlier marks of P-40 were somewhat underpowered, so if it is smaller than normal, would maybe explain this rumour?

What a beauty! Wish I was seeing her up close, but hopefully I’ll catch her at another show…
Is it me, or does the Allison look a lot smaller than some of its contemporaries? I would have expected a vast lump of engine under those cowlings!!
