Gentlemen & Ladies
For CockpitFest 2008, we are planning a Hawker Hunter lineup, the feature will be a line of Hunter cockpits going from F1 through to the hi numbered export versions.
We have started planning already. We are doing reasonably well, but wish to do a real good job….so if you have a cockpit of a Hunter, please be part of this line up. We particularly need an F4 and an F5. The latter I used to own!! If there is sufficient interest, I will get a badge and various souvenirs organised.
Regards Tony

Hunter F.4
Hi Guys
I spoke to the new owner of the Hunter F.Mk.4, that was for sale at cockpitfest on the Sunday this year, he asures me he will have it on display next year if you want him!
You should soon have a full set! hope there will still be room for the rest of us!!

Tony,
Surely you mean the former ? (i.e. the red F.4)
Cheers…….

If someone can give me a solid lead where I can hire a vehicle with a tow hitch in the Bristol/Taunton area, then I will be happy to bring the Hunter 4 cockpit along.
Logistically my location precludes the use of a Luton type van with lift, so it can only go on a smallish trailer. I just don’t now have a car with a towbar and I have been told in no uncertain terms that the Beemer is not having its bumper cut and a £2k towbar fitted!

I guess Mark G’s Hunter would be the highest mark number in the UK, at the end of the line??
….you will have to say pretty please, and lend him a trailer. 😀
Not quite the highest mark number overall (marks 80 and 81 for Kenya), but certainly the highest mark number in the UK.
Do I win a prize? 😀

…through to the hi numbered export versions.
I ‘spose that’ll be me then! I doubt I’ll need much persuading so, all being well, I’ll be there.:)
