Hurricane spotted???

Hi all,

My Father says there was a Hurricane flying low over his house north of Colchester on Saturday, 23rd June. Apparently was something to do with local golf club anniversary – seems a bit strange if so. Anyone know which one it was if so and what it was up to.

The old man is ex Army / RAF reserves so I would like to think his aircraft recognition is up to scratch!

Cheers in advance.

Hi,

Thanks for the info on the Hurricane. That would make more sense than doing a flypast over a golf course!
Surprised we didn’t see her at Farnborough – was on duty here all day but no sign, mind you was rubbish weather.
Nice also to see LF363 serviceable as I was at the wonderful BBMF hangar on Wednesday and she was having engine problems with the cowlings all off.

Hurricane LF363 preformed a display at the ATC Lasham open day in Hampshire, she then came to Southend taking everyone by suprise she made an amazing low pass not much more the 200ft off the deck just off the apron aera, banked up over the workshop before returning to buzz the runway and joining the circuit to land, she either went into Airlivery of ATC Lasham (Southend)
