Reliable reports from Hawaii that a former HATS Heron out there is destined for a future as a reef . Anyone need spares before it goes?

David, thanks for confirming that. I have emailed the link to this thread to a contact at the Classic Flyers Musuem in Tauranga, NZ, this evening, as they are currently restoring a Heron. So you may well hear from someone there if they’re interested.
What a shame it’s being destroyed, it looks to be in good enough condition to make a good static display in a museum if you watch the series. I think the series producers and actors should be the ones clubbed together to make a reef, it’s dreadful. I only watched it once and that was to see the plane.

I guess that might possibly be the Heron that has been used as a prop in the kid’s show that’s like a children’s version of Lost. It was seen ‘crashed’ on a beach throughout the series, which is made in Hawaii. It actually looked to be in good condition. The series was called Flight 29 Down. The Heron G-AORG is on a major check at the moment with Atlantique Engineering could be spares needed there?
I do know when the group in Jersey bought the aircraft many years ago they had a good supply of spares but as we know sometimes the one you need as a one off will not be there>
