Glad you enjoyed the show – I was one of the British re-enactors portraying the Leicestershire Regiment, spent the majority of the show either in my little trench, in one of the Bren carriers on Saturday firing the bren gun and no 2 on the Bren gun in the half track on Sunday! Fantastic event, met a lot of interesting people, plus we won the award for best display which I felt was well deserved. Highlight for me though was meeting a veteran of the Leicestershire Regiment who fought in NW Europe 1944-1945, and getting to shake the hand of that fine gentleman. My photos are up here

Must say the Lancaster on Satudays show was just fantastic.
with the main Battle going on the ground and the Lanc buzzing the battle field many times made for a real nostalgic scene.
Something i guess you would have to travel back to the 1940s to see.
Mustang ferocious Franky put on one of her best displays Ive ever seen
swooping in over the large battle grounds very spirited display ,
C47 Dakota another impressive display ,
YAK 52 with some very fine aerobatics and Parachute drop of a small teddy bear , quickly rescued from the ground by some splendid re-enactment medics of the period of the 1940s.
Spit MH434 and Spanish built ME109 red 1, ended the show with a splendid
display each,
finished off with a nice dog fight routine.
Lots of other attractions going on some cracking models flying and a few
other light aircraft actually landed on the small strip ,
was impressed at the skill of the pilots of the few aircraft that landed on the field .G-APIE was very happy with getting on .:)
3rd year this show as been run. the set up and location make it one of the best airshows for this period going.
thank,s to all at foxlands farm and those that organised the event for yet another winner .
