Wheel ID help!

I have an aircraft wheel which I’m told is post war and British, but so far no one has any firm info on what type it is from.

Numbers on it are…

AH41543 SN249

ASSY AH8957 ISS. 10 SN59154 2Q 76.

Any help would be great!

Thanks,

Garry.

North East Aircraft Museum are going to recover a Dove (?) from Aeroventure next weekend… Don’t know the condition of the airframe, but I believe it is complete. I’ll have a look when I’m there.

Thanks Mark:D Now is there anyone out there with a Dove or Devon who needs a nose wheel with tyre? If there is please PM me with details of your aircraft/project and the wheel is yours, free. All I ask is you pay the postage.

Thanks,

“AH” is a Dunlop drawing number prefix – so British yes.
Dunlop also used AHO, AHM, AC, ACO and ACM.
Four and five digit numbers suggest post-war

I’m sure someone will come up with more precise details.
