It’s not only the weather at the display area that has to be taken into consideration, but also that at Coningsby where the aircraft have to take off from.

Dammit this will be the second year in a row they have cancelled! The weather up here at the moment is a little windy but not that bad.

A contact from ‘AirNorth’ said:

BBMF have confirmed that they won’t be leaving their
aircraft at Blackpool tonight ready for positioning to the show tomorrow
due to bad weather forecast for the NW today – so the aircraft will be
coming up from Coningsby. They are however rather doubtful that they
will be able to provide any aircraft for the Corbridge display tomorrow
due to the weather…. although the forecast now is better than what it
was when they said this.

So, it all depends on the weather. The display should be 1620-1640.

What so she is not coming now!! Gutted!!

Hope the spitfire shows up at least unlike last years no show.

Think she may have been homesick. Saw her passing over Metheringham heading back towards Coningsby at about 14:30 today.
