RAF Cosford Jaguars

Hi All,

Just a heads up to those who may be interested. Rotary Hydraulic Arrestor Gear (temporary) has just been fitted to the 24/06 main runway at RAF Cosford to help with the recovery of a significant number of Jaguars that will be flying into storage over the next couple of months. Not sure of dates but it might make for some interesting photos!

MDF

It has been confirmed that they will not be sold off to either museums or private collectors, they are to become BDR and instructional airframes.

Hence the move to Cosford.

John.

I remember seeing the last 8 Bucc’s land at St Athan’s, still to see one flying since!! Wonder how much a 2 seat Jag would be worth when they sell them off?? Wonder if one will make it to Thunder City??

looks like some interesting (but sad) times ahead at Cosford as none of them will be flying out again:(

I remember saying something along these lines when they retired the remaining Bucc’s into St Athan in 94!!

Sure it’s a RHAG? I thought temporary installations are usually PHAGs!

Only joking, looks like some interesting (but sad) times ahead at Cosford as none of them will be flying out again:(
