Hi Guys,
Can anyone help my son Max with details of the Instrument panel layouts and or part numbers / type of instruments fitted to the Auster Mk VI & VII?
Many thanks.

Panel mounting structure.
Hi Guys
Can anyone provide either a photograph or a copy of the Parts / maintenance manual, showing the panel mounting frame / structure for the AOP.6 panel. It’s always nice to try and mount the panel for display on a representative structure.
Many thanks.

Hi Guys
Thanks for the response to our question. Rob, we will be at Bruntingthorpe on Saturday, working on our Jet Provost (XN584), so if you do come accross any photos we could borrow, maybe you could drop them off with us.
T6Flyer, any photo’s of your AOP-6 would be a major help, as Max has just discovered that the panel is from G-ARGB (VF635).
Martin, we hope to see you soon, will you be coming to the open day on May 27th?
Best wishes

That’ll be Crecy (correction to help with searches) and if you like Pilot’s Notes, place your business with them, not Amazon, to perpetrate the breed. 😉
I second and thoroughly agree with JDK here. They are very very nice people at Crecy and they were very pleased to assist when I needed a number of Auster AOP.9 Pilot’s Notes recently.

If not, contact T6flyer on here – he’s down Eggesford a lot where they have two (I think) Auster AOP 6’s, including the very nice VX113 recently restored
Might be going up this weekend (have been TOO often recently and its only 2 weeks to G-VFWE so got to save my pennies), so can easily can some photos if required of VX113 which is the only stock 6 there. Others are Beagle Terrier conversions.

You can get them from the publishers, Crechy, or Amazon.

I’ve got the Pilots’ Notes for the AOP6/T7 at home somewhere. I’ll see if I can find them and try and scan the relevant pages.

Ive got a couple of pics of a MK.VI cockpit Ritch that I can show you when I see you next should you still be stuck, sorry old fashioned print and no scanner.
Have you spoken To Rob Langham. Helps the guys at Brunty on the Beech and T-6. He is very much into his Austers.
On the forum as R Langham if you search members list. If you get stuck drop me an email.

Hey, cheers for the mention mate, sorry haven’t got back to you earlier been real busy. I might have a few photos of an Auster 6 cockpit from when I was lucky enough to get a ride in one at Eggesford last year – I was sat on the observers seat in the back and was feeling a bit vain so took some photos of myself, so you should be able to see the instrument panel quite well. I’ll have a look when I get back from work later and e-mail them to you.

Pilot’s notes are still available for the 6/7. They normally have some excellent pictures of the cockpit.
You can get them from the publishers, Crechy, or Amazon.
