Hi folks. I have spent many years searching for details of the Albatros W.8. of 1918. All i can find is a page in German Aircraft of the First World War by Peter Gray & Owen Thetford (Putnam). There is even no mention of it in Der Atlas Seeflugzeuge of any year. Only 2 (possibly 3) aircraft were produced.
The reason i ask is that i wish to compose a detailed 3 view drawing for my web-site as well as write an article so i need all the info i can get.
In Lennart Anderssons book Soviet Aircraft & Aviation 1917-1941 (Putnam)
page 323 he tells of 2 Albatros floatplanes with Benz engines which were captured at the Black Sea. The W.8. had Benz engines so could these be the same aircraft ?
CAN SOMEONE HELP ME SORT THIS OUT PLEASE ?
Regards TASSE.
