A farewell of sorts

Dear all 🙂

Due to increased demands on my time and other factors, I no longer feel I have either the time to spare, or the inclination, that a moderator should possess in order to provide efficient moderation on these forums. Therefore I have asked the Webmaster to withdraw my moderator powers and return me to the status of ordinary member here, which he has agreed to do.

I have been a member here for what must be a good seven years now. In that time I have made some truly good friends and I treasure these friendships greatly. There have been some tremendous threads over the years, some hysterically funny, some painfully sad, others jammed packed with illuminating information, great photos and so on.

But times have changed, and so have I. My life is heading in a different direction to the direction I thought I was heading in 3, 4 years ago, and I hope new doors will open for me in time.

I am not disappearing completely (so sorry to disappoint some of you :diablo: ) I’ve been here too long to close the door permanently. I will still be a member here, and for the time being will remain Duxford based.

I would like to finish my final post as moderator with a thought or two:

We only get one chance at life. We have many chances to change the way in which we live that life, but at the end of the day the life we have is the only one we are ever going to get. Regret nothing but learn from your mistakes, Remember the past but don’t live in it. Take time to appreciate the good in your lives, however difficult that can be some days (and I know, when you hit rock bottom how hard that can be).
