I would think Lee Howard on here would know a fair amount about them, and he is co author of ‘Fleet Air Arm Fixed Wing Aircraft since 1946’ which I would think is the best published source on individual and overall histories.
I remember them operating at Culdrose up to late ’80s (771 sqn possibly?), and saw XK895 19-CU at Kemble about three years ago.
I could never quite understand why the Navy replaced communications Sea Prince C.1/2, with similar vintage Sea Devon C.20 & Sea Heron C.20s?
