Yes Daz! Very nice find. It may not be so up to date, but it does have a picture of the Belgian (leopoldsburg) Ju88 and this is the first one I’ve seen of this aircraft on the net.

I know the Alpine Fighter collection had substantial remains early 2000ish.And I think there are more bits around England as well.Anyone got a list??:confused:

Yes, you’re right, I was wrong, but the most obvious detail, which turned a
D into a G is missing : the 37mm guns beneath the wings. And in all other
aspects the G was D. But again you’re right : Such details don’t matter
to most people .. 😉
In the Technik Museum Berlin (technical museum Berlin, you can see the
remains of a B, too, but you have to believe, that it really was a B …

I know G-STUK was cancelled off the register recently, whats the story with that aircraft? What state is it in? Has it gone to Shuttleworth with the rest of the RM-whatsit collection?

Any chance of getting it complete and possibly flying? (money permitting)

There is the Greek Stuka….not on display yet. Needs the barnicals knocked off and a spot or two of paint!:D

Sorry that is a JU87D-3 trop we are close to a B but not that close, The aircraft is not in a great shape especially after so long underwater.

But the more Stuka’s the merrier i suppose.

Yes, the Stuka in Hendon is really beautiful, but I think
seavixen88 was asking for a Ju 87B ???
Hendon has a D, a version, that never appeared over GB !

In that case there are NO B model JU87 Stuka’s anywhere and as previously mentioned there are only 2 complete examples left and Hendon’s is a G-2 (not a D jemiba) and the one in Chicago is an R-2/trop.

A lot of video games (microsoft flight simulator 1 for example) and books etc in general circulation call it the JU87B for some reason, like all mustangs are P51D’s or all ME109s are E’s or FW190’s are A’s, it is just a generalisation of the type of aircraft, the non enthusiast press is full of it like The Sun calling the tornadoes in Afghanistan MK1s when they were MK4s ! or my plane spotting guide from when i was a kid saying the Hurricane looks like a spitfire !!

There are a couple of scaled-down flying replicas about, but again you’d have to go much further afield to see them…. :rolleyes:

Any one know where or if theres a Junkers ju87 b anywhere in the mailnland
United Kingdom, or have we got none around, the son plays all the air war games and his fave plane is the stuka and he would love to see one up close and personal.

Yup…Hendon is your only option……unless you want to pay a visit to Chicago, USA to see the only other complete example.

Here is a pic of her taken last year, the museum is definately worth a visit for more than just stuka’s it has some very rare WW2 aircraft.
