Another from me from the other day and one from last year to prove the “time warp” is on going!!:)

Sywell Memories

How well I know Sywell. Learnt to fly there in 1973 on Beagle Pups. Stayed as a member of Brooklands and Northamptonshire School flying School for 23 years – and still flying today.

Just “unearthed” a couple more 😉

Especially love the first, with the halcyon days sun over the wing!

If you are still using film, try some Efke/Adox stuff for 1950s tonal values – very nice effects possible. If not… well, just make ’em look like the above and we’ll lap ’em up!

Not for the first time, Sywell Aerodrome went into timewarp mode last night.

About six thirty in the evening, the breeze dropped, the buzz of microlights disappeared and the world started to fade back to black and white………

A joy to behold, proper aeroplanes on a proper airfield, I love seeing a good photograph!
