Spitfire tech question..

As things are progressing slowly at the moment with the project due to very low volunteer numbers have been doing a lot of work trying to fill in the gaps in our drawing stash.One of the drawings is the pressing drawing for frame 6.It is similar to F7 but a fair bit different size wise due to the fitment of the bottom fuel tank and the curvature of the fuse.Have been working off the side member drawing,the bottom longeron drawing and the bottom fuel tank drawing to gain some measurements and seem to have things close.
Was wondering if anyone knows how the bottom tank is affixed to the frames.If I am reading it right there is a channel that runs around the sides of the bottom fuel tank and that sits into the top capping channel of the Frame webs with a bit of rubber or something for chafing protection.The tank has a strap around it for mounting.
Has anyone got any good pics of F6 with the fuel tank installed so I can be sure that the curvature and clearances are Ok?Sorry if I,m long winded,a do prattle on a lot sometimes…:o
