Refurbishing manufacturers' metal desk models

I have just acquired a 60’s vintage metal Victor desk model, which is badly in need of some TLC.

Does anyone have any recommendations of anyone who can restore and refurbish such things?

There’s a guy always advertising in the classifieds of Flypast offering to make up kits- don’t know him but may be worth a call, as stated above some of these guys are pretty talented. Alternatively maybe Diverse Images can help- they work exclusively in metal.?

No joy in finding a suitable chap, so far.

For your AW logo, have you looked at back numbers of Flight from the period?

For the (easy) unpainted metal finish try aluminum wheel polish from an auto supply store.
For the (hard) windows you could try a careful mask job.
Or if you don’t want to try it yourself, try to find a local IPMS member…a lot of those guys are very talented and are willing to do the odd “outside” job for the challenge or for kit money.

BTW:
I need to find someone who can produce new decals for a plastic/resin Argosy manufacturer’s model I found awhile back. Most of it isn’t hard, but I need the Armstrong Whitworth logo on a computer file someone can shrink and print as a decal.
