Possibly Cooper or Avirex(sp?).

I’d say that it’s a good bet to be one those two makes judging by the labels, inaccurate front slash ‘fashion’ pockets and far too white sheepskin colour.

However, there have been many makers of these types of ‘fashion’ jackets over the years, so might be very difficult to assertain the maker.

hi,

what kind of jacket type this one is, sorry i don´t know. however when you would like that your jacket look like new take for example “Shoe Polish (tins)” form ERDAL. i don´t know if this product is also outside austria available! (and when you need such a ERDAL product and you don´t find one in your country, write me a email and i would get one for you, for example)
first of all you wash your jacket with lukewarm water and a fine soap,be careful!! after that let it dry. next take some of the ERDAL polish (with the correct colour) on an old scarf and rub it very slowly in to the leather. let this dry for 24 hours, and than polish the surplus “shoe polish” from the jacket. voila your jacket is ready to wear!!!:)

I collect original german luftwaffe flying jackets from the second world war and there where also models presented in very bad condition, but after a little work they are like new 🙂

for example i show you a picture of one jacket after “restoration” ( i hope the file attach works)

hope i could help you a little

regards, Philipp

Possibly Cooper or Avirex(sp?).

I don’t know about all horsey products, but all I’ve ever seen at my local tack shops is saddle soap for general maintenance.

The car stuff I mentioned is specifically for repair of scuffed/worn items.
It’s not that expensive relative to the cost of the jacket.

That’s not damage, that’s patina! 😉

Seriously though, if you live in a rural area, go and try your local saddler or horsey shop. They have all sorts of leather conditioning products a lot cheaper than classic car stuff!

yes i do know someone with a couple of horses, will give her a ring. but does anybody know who makes this jacket as there is no name tag in it.
Thanks Phil.

Try hide food or other products (Leathercare?).
Lots of ads in old car magazines like Classic and Sportscar.
Also, contact the people that make similar jackets in the UK and ask their advice.
