Hello all,
Between 35 & 40 years ago i was lucky enough to fly in a Vickers Vanguard from Belfast Aldergrove to the south of France .
As a very young lad I was very much over the moon when my late father arranged with one of the Air hostesses, whom he knew, for me to visit the cockpit.
What an experience!! I must have been about 8 or 9 ,the flight crew and in particular the pilot could not have been more welcoming, I distinctly remember him telling me how they knew where they were from the way point signals and turned up a loudspeaker for a wee lad from Belfast to hear it !!
Sadly as far as i know this pilot died in the disaster near Basle .
Has anyone any more info (or advice on how to get it) on the aircraft and/or crew on either or both occasions ?

Hi,
Try an e-mail to Malcolm Finnis via here http://www.invicta-airways.co.uk/
He has lots of old Invicta documents and contacts and may even have the crew roster you require. I don’t know for sure but he is a very helpful guy.
Hope it helps
Be lucky
