Meant to ask, whose is the Buchon? History?

Oh dear, I was required up there for one of my intermittant site visits yesterday and put it off till next week, b#####, b#####, b#####.
Hopefully next thursday everything will be up.

Most of my ‘Team’ are away on various visits tomorrow (Thu, 08 Mar) so I have taken a days leave and I hope everything is flying as well considering there is wall to wall sunshine forecast. Will pack waterproofs.:D

Excellent pics Fw. Particularly like the one of the Grace Spit over the Rapide. Nice to see the Buchon – saw her last year at Breighton, when she had to do a full throttle landing – hairy moment! And I have to agree, that Chippy looks great in silver.

Thanks for sharing those.

Dean.

Had a senior moment; deleted the files as I had used up my allocated space on the forum and the original photos have disappeared!

Here they are again! The technical error was me! Hands up; egg on face & all that.

…I can see the two thumbnails below my last post. Must be something wrong technically your end…

Something’s definitely changed – the only images I can see are in post #16. Maybe it’s something to do with the last edit at 9:45!

I believe the Corsair sortied twice on the day. First time it was flown as I was informed by someone else in the know by a visiting French pilot (see 2nd series of photos) then by Stephen doing a display as I had left and packed the camera away.

See photos below; were the visitors in the rather nice ‘turbo prop’? Can anyone ‘id’ it for me?

Who was flying the Corsair?

Someone elsewhere in the know said it was Stephan Grey.

Roobarb. I couldn’t agree more. Thank you for any part in the repaint that you may have had in it. She certainly gets complimented wherever she goes. I love the yellow spinner.:) 😀 XX

What a beautiful Chipmunk. 😎

Yes, superbly repainted at ARC about 6 years ago if I remember correctly….
G-BBND/WD286? We chose yellow for the spinner just to be different and it’s an instant recognition feature. Can’t say I’ve seen another like it. 🙂

FW: That is a very kind offer. I’ll have word with the guy who was flying that day and see if he is interested. Had I been up front, it would be a definite “yes”. 😎

BRobin: I’m afraid your cryptic comment was lost on me

Thanks Janie

I shot the Chipmunk as I thought it looked fabulous in the sun; and it was great to see one out of the usual red/white colours (no offence to other Chippie owners).

If the syndicate / owners want a full set of non edited photos either by email or cd please contact me.

Again great to see that Chipmunk and it looked great parked up next to all the other war birds!:)

Do you wear a facemask Janie? When flying I mean 🙂 Don’t think I have ever seen someone go as far as that in a Chipmunk except for UAS types.

Great pics

Grand photos there Fw.

The one of the Rapide taxiing with Carolyn’s Spit landing in the background is a corker.

Very many thanks.

FW: Thanks for sharing all all your wonderful photographs. I’m normally in the front seat of this particular Chipmunk. I believe this is the syndicate secretary and his wife in your photos.
