It’s only about 5 miles from here & my parents arrive from the UK on the 14th Feb so we’re gonna go to the ceremony deal at 2.30 on the 16th. Step-dad is ex RN (HMS Protector, HMS Eagle & others). Mother lost her brother on HMS Penelope at Anzio (Feb 18th ’44) & an uncle the next day on the beachhead.
Gonna call on a couple of other local ex-pats & show the flag as it were…

Interesting post, I have heard a few stories myself, but being someone who has not witnessed anything the same, does anyone else have any stories to post of a similar nature ?, I remember seeing on tv the story of the B29 crash site in the pennines and the dig where the figure in flying clothing was seen !!!:eek:
Anyone had anything similar happen to them ????????????
