Took a trip down to Bournemouth today on a nice sunny winters morning. Here are a few snaps of what was on offer.

I thought the French deal had fallen apart??? Indeed I thought the owner of the aircraft broke that news on here late last year???
I’ve seen the Fury advertised on and off for a number of years now…..

A couple of the monthlies have recently reported the Fury/SeaFury as being sold to a new owner in France. One even reported that it had departed already, which was obviously somewhat premature!

On the basis its a Fury and not a Sea Fury must be rare in the UK…no?
Was she up for sale a while ago?

Hawker fury G-CBEL is still airworthy although when she last flew I’m not certain as she doesn’t appear to have been particularly active on the airshow circuit this year. Whether she is still owned by John Bradshaw is also up for discussion as Feb 2007’s Aeroplane quoted John Bradshaw as having sold G-CBALbased a kemble, I was never aware he had another Fury:confused:
CBEL is still airworthy and is flown every 4-5 weeks, weather permitting.
John Bradshaw no longer holds an active DA on the type, which is why it no longer displays at airshows (in the flying display).
She looks gorgeous, the shine off her props is amazing 😎

Is there anything left of the experimental radar set up on 897, seem to remember it was for the Tornado programme?.
Looks like a Tornado F3 nose cone

Nice to see this one out and about again, but watch them capacitors, they can give you a nasty bite for a suprisingly long time after power is removed.

John,
We ran XX897 up twice yesterday and she should, fingers crossed, be run at some stage today.
See my basic report from yesterday http://buccsociety.conforums.com/index.cgi?board=restorations
Then click on B.E.S.T.Pirates – Progress.

Is the Hawker Fury still airworthy? Does it appear at airshows?
