I guess this was one of the most goliardic and fun times of the whole experience 😀

Glacier Girl
Is it true that “Glacier Girl” is coming to the UK for the summer.
If so will this be the longest delivery flight in history (timewise) 62years? to complete.

thats very spectacular!
although i’m sitting here chuckling away at the double standards on here!
someone posts a video of a vulcan APU being started up in a garage and loads of people say how irresponsible, dangerous etc…. but a bloke firing a cannon found in a 60 year old wreck, with possibly 60 year old ammunition is a good old boy having a bit of fun!

well, an airplane has a more complex structure than a barrel, so u might need more than one shot, but still it’s an impressive hit!
While I was watching it I thought “wait a minute, they’re using a war weapon without permission???” then I realised that the closest police station in Groenland was kinda far, and no neighbour would have complained anyways 😉
I would have tried the .50 cals too eheehheh :dev2:

Same sound issue here, had to crank it wayyyyyyy up. That much damage to a steel drum, imagine the impact on soft aluminum under the stress of hard aerobatic maneuvering. One shot, one kill! Or at least one hit one kill.
I’m not sure I would have wanted to be standing so close to 60year old ammo that had possibly been damage in a weapon, that had potentially been damaged and fire the thing off. But it sure was fun!
Good thing it was a US team. If it had been a UK team they would have immediately had to turn it over to be destroyed by the nannies. I know you CAN have legal registered MG’s in the States, but what about 20mm’s?

sound is there – I had to crank the volume up to full and got a very quiet sound-track… nothing better than a bunch of the ‘good ole boys’ having a couple brews and playing with firepower.

Would be nicer with the sound.

lol absolutely!!! 😀
the blast of the shell and the effect are impressive! U really wanted to be on the right side of that thing when it shot! Most impressive is actually that the cannon was still serviceable! Talking about rugged american planes!
