Afternoon all,
It just struck me that Alize’s which retired 7 years ago seem to have vanished completely off the face of the Earth. Now I’m sure there must be some sitting around across La Manche but have they gone forever? By that I mean can we ever expect to see any operating privately on the display circuit?
Just imagine a Gannet & Alize formation… or am I just a bit strange?!!

There appears to be almost as many preserved in India than France
From European W&R there are the following
s/n 48 at Hyeres
s/n 86 & 7 at Lann Bilhoue (Lorient)
s/n 5 at Garons (Nimes)
s/n 10 at Dugny store
s/n 8 at Rochefort (on roundabout)
s/n 1 & 15 in Rochefort museum (if it is still open)
s/n 4 at Savingy Les Beaune
The majority were scrapped at Garons
There are photos of the one on the roundabout and the Saviny on on Airliners.net

There may still be an early airframe on display on a roundabout at Rochefort -Soubise although I think it still has a (private?) museum i think the base has more or less closed.
There were some pics of airframes that were wfu in 1999 stripped of spares and engines over on Fighter Control the other day.
