If anyone is going, could they please get a photo of the (under restoration) Spitfire XVIIIs top engine cowling that was sitting on the left just as you walk in the TFC hangar. It’s a symphony in bare aluminium and I can’t get it out of my head!
Thanks in advance

Robbo and PP – THANK YOU 🙂
where can I get one?
Just something about that shape – it would be great in the living room. I reckon it would make a good bonnet for a stripped down bentley special – bit like that Siddely that I’ve seen around Duxford at times (the one with the gunsight radiator mascot)
sigh…
why does everything look better unpainted?

Im painting it in the morning.
As long as it’s not before ten o’clock:D

I am led to believe a picture of the item , naked will be on page 3 (Like most things which appear on page 3 of publications) of the forthcoming edition of the Friends of the Fighter Collection , Fighter Log which is drifting towards the printing presses at this moment in time. Another good reason to join FofTFC.

My visit to Duxford tomorrow is back on so I will see what I can get for you.
If any one else is there and you see someone with a camera on a pole held up high, then it will probably be me.:D
