Aviation Partnership

Just flicking through a 1993 copy of aircraft illustrated and came across an advert for these people who were offering some kind of share system in a BAe 748 that was going to be used on a semi comercial basis in the UK and Canada. The share cost 35 quid and along with an introductory vid and a technical file, you got a free flight a year on it during it’s UK flying programme.

Did anyone buy a share? What ever happend to the idea (maybe it still exists?)

The address for the organization is a freepost and they are based in the Isle of Man. Maybe I should fill in the coupon:D oh and thheres a b+w picture. The tail has a circle with 2B in it and the registration is G-11-22

From evidence I have, the photo seems to be the prototype of the Avro 748 Series 2B with a provisional registration for initial test flying. The photo may not suggest that this is the aircraft in the proposed scheme but to show an illustration of an Avro 748 for marketing purposes.

This is what a 748 looks like but any more than that, I’m stuffed!
