USAAF RADIO MAST

Have just acquired an unissued US WW2 period (1944 dated) radio mast type AN-104-A. I am not very well acquainted with USAAF items but I have one very similar from a B-26. Was this a common part to many US types? It is steel clad over a wood or paxolin inner and painted silver and a copper aerial wire still attached. Appears unissued. Any ideas what it is from??
