Well, I have to thank Bruce for introducing me to Bilt Hamber deox C. It is absolutely fantastic!!
It comes in powder or gel form (I have not tried the gel yet). The powder stuff you just dilute with warm water, pop yer rusty object in it and after a day or two your part is clear of rust. Cheap too.
I gave it some hard assignments.
No.1 was canopy butterflies off a Spitfire crash, it has brought them up like new, freed all the heavily corroded in pins.
No.2 was very rusty and thin butterfly bomb casing….all I can say is wow.
BTW I am NOT on commission, I just believe that it will help longevity of aviation (and indeed any stuff that is steel and rusts) heritage.

Apparently, the best thing is gold plating!
Otherwise, Selenious acid is the kiddy.

Good shout Rocketeer, used some of this on a couple of heavily corroded items that we had in store and they came up good.
I am however, still looking for something half decent that will prevent the corrosion of Magnesium Alloy, have tried many different and expensive products from both the UK and the States, but have not really found one that I am confident with.
Anyone able to guide me?
