I do know the seller, he was offered 1,800 but a buyer did not go through with it, I believe so don’t quote me on it, he wants about 500. They are quite rare and I believe again it came out of a low back. But Mark12 you are usually right on all things Spit related.

Well not the fuel tank that sat between the pilot and the engine but possibly the additional fuel tank fitted latterly behind the pilot on some aircraft. The inlet port is not as the low back version but I suspect this might be the high back variant.
When full they did nothing for the handling qualities.
