Did anyone see this programme that was on at 18:00 BBC2 last night. Apart from aviation, I’m afraid I’m quite into the wildlife bit as well.
Apart from the presenter who reminded me of matey of Fast Show and Powergen adverts and who I couldn’t take seriously, there was a remarkable bit of film at Donna Nook bombing range, including appearances of JAGUARS doing their stuff. The seals came right up to the fence, within touching distance and they had no fear of the Jags strafing the shoreline. The officer in charge was a jolly female squadron leader who removed the seals from the actual range site during an attack by arranging for a JCB to go out on to the firing line and bang the bucket on the floor, which apparantly makes them shift PDQ, large groups of seals caused practice strikes to be called off, can you believe that, what are the MOD coming to.
Incidentally, for any keen types like me who watched it for the wildlife content, yes, I have seen otters on Mull in broad daylight, on my own, just by chance and crawled to within a few feet and, click, b##### the camera has run out of film. Try and put a new film in a camera when you are only 20ft away from an otter, it doesn’t work.
At least the next lot I got on video.
