Syrian AF scrap dump

Now this looks interesting !

Nayrab-Aleppo air base, the dump seems to be in the NW corner of the field.

Looks like some ex-Soviet stuff there … oh for some of that image enhancing software they are always using on “CSI” 🙂

Could there be a few Spitfires in amongst that lot? There’s a source in Australia who might be able to confirm this…..

Seen this and other pics on an another forum. No Spits i’m afraid.. someone ordered hi-res sat images of the co-ordinates and didn’t find anything noteworthy… but hey.. what lies underneath the rubble huh. like the Aghanistan recoveries! :rolleyes:

Hi,

Not too hot on what the Syrians operated but the one at the top could be an IL-28 Beagle. The one in the middle with the swept back wings looks could possibly be a Mig-19.

These are only guesses and probably way off the mark.

It’s an Il-28 indeed. The otherone is a Mig-17 though.
