Captain Gahfoor

When leaving Southends car park this afternoon, I noticed on the exit it says ‘Captain Gahfoor’s gateway’. Anyone able to tell me who Captain Gahfoor is/was and why the exit to the carpark is dedicated to him/her? :confused:
