What in your opinion is the oddest looking aircraft?
I don’t mean strictly ‘ugliest’, although the A10 could be described as odd, but post any pictures of what you think of as the strangest, oddest, most peculiar maybe weirdest aircraft you’ve ever seen…..

Proof that the ugly stick is still being used in aircraft design today, Ok so form follows function in this case but a good paint job aint gonna help this ugly puppy!!.

They captured it and than … I don’t know. Sorry!
No need for the sorry wieeso!!!, I didn’t now about it either 😮 .
A quick Google this morning brought up some history about it, never really flew properly and was given up as a bad idea, I think the test pilot would have been bricking it walking out to that one 😮 .
Regards,
John.

The French between the wars seemed to have a fetish for odd aircraft. But my choice at the moment is a product of Westlands, the Westland – Hill ‘Pterodactyl’ a tail less aircraft developed between 1925-34. The Mk V being a turret fighter!
Hey go easy on Westland – Hill products, I quite like the look of tyhe Pterodactyl MkV

Yes, that one gets another vote! (Believe it or not, a jet biplane!)
Yep A jet biplane crop duster that uses the interplane struts as chemical hoppers. 😀 😀

Same here :p
I also love the Danish Cessna (remarkably that such an enormous prop fits on such a small engine.)
Hmmm, I’d like to see a photo of that thing in flight before I believe it actually exists!

I actually quite like the little Cri Cri! :p 😉

I thought the things Dick Dastardly and Muttley flew looked odd and then I saw a picture of the Pemberton Billing PB 29.

My fave has to be the ornithopter, an aeroplane that flaps its wings to generate thrust!!

It actually has a wide range of applications….. oh who am i kidding! Its cool though.

Don’t worry Daz – that will never fly. Aeroplanes need airfoils to fly and that toy did not have anything close to an airfoil on it. My guess is that it was a publicity stunt. Google ‘Mark Clews’ for more.
