Meteor Winston VZ 467
Was initially alarmed, when I saw your photo of Meteor VZ 467 , within a thread mentioning ‘wrecks & relics’ – as I’d seen her at RAF Fairford, back in 1999……… ten years on, from when you’d taken your photo.
Whilst standing in front of her (having not bothered taking my SLR camera) at the event, a mate mentioned that she was going to Australia…….
Typical – supposedly ‘the’ last Meatbox in RAF service, & we’re losing her !, I thought to myself at the time ( ’99 ).
Having surfed the ‘net, I see that she’s still flying, at Temora (albeit in a really drab & plain, metal finish.
