102 Sq, help needed

Hi all,
Am in the middle of doing a painting of a relatives Mk3 Halifax and have come up with a couple of problems.
They are…………..
Not sure if the codes on the side would have been “Roundel Red” on its own or possibly surrounded with a thin yellow line (Aircraft crashed 17/6/1944 if this is any help), and the second problem is ,did all 102 Halifaxes at the time have the 2 red horizontal bands on the tail or were these just carried by “leader aircraft”.
