Hello All,
Myself and RobMac (also from the forum) are repainting the Midland Air Museums Gloster Javelin FAW5 XA699. Built at Baginton (now Coventry) Airport home of tha MAM she served No 151 Squadron in Scotland and No 5 Squadron in Germany. In later life she would spend her days as an instructional airframe at RAF Cosford before being acquired by the Museum in 1981.
The plan is once more to repaint the Javelin in her Number 5 Squadron colours and make her more accurate this time. But………. we have no pics of her in her service life. Wondering if any of the forum members have any stashed away that they can share with us?
We have pictures of her at Cosford and possibly (the serial is hard to make out) one of her with 151 Squadron but thats it. Wondered if anyone can help.
