Does anyone know the current state of the A26C Douglas Invader purchased by the Cadman Brothers in the 1980`s ?
I herd it was in Norfolk, but does anyone have any pictures of it?
Thanks
Jamie

Realistically, the chances of it flying again are zero. It needs a serious amount of money spending to get it in the air, and would cost at least double what you could buy a flyable one for. Nice static – thats about it.

Maybe things are on the move with regard to the restoration ?
I have a very good friend who was involved with its purchase from the US in the 80`s who was asking about its progress.

She needs large sums of money spent on her to make her resemble an A-26 again – the place to rebuild her is the U.S.

Well… I sold Rex Cadman some A-26 manuals quite recently! Andy Saunders

Bruce,
What about the other B-26K nose that came with it and was last (still is ?) at Hull Aero ?
Is that still Cadman owned ?

Tom,
No, it has moved on you know! The wings are still in Norfolk. ALL the rest has gone.

…part of it has moved on again. The cockpit and wings are still in Norfolk, where they’ve sat for the past 5 years at least and they’ll have to be moved soon as the restorer’s workplace soon due to change. Poor old thing really does need some TLC but, so I hear, the Cadman brothers are more into their AFVs etc nowadays.
Does anybody know if this A-26 actually has a combat history as there must be some Invaders with history?
