Any one got on information or (hopefully) pictures of Hawker Hurricane P2831 LE-K from 242 Sqn – it crashed at RAF Kenley on 9.9.40 after an engagement with a Do 17. the pilot was a Canadian – Sgt R.V.H. Lonsdale who survived, he survived the war as well and died recently in Canada. My father was at Kenley when it went in – and as all young boys did then descended on it – he still has the inlet valve from the Merlin now.
