on my travels as a white van man, i was driving up towards preston lancs, and oposite the chorley turn off there is a place called botany bay villages (some sort of shopping centre) there is a small hanger near the car park with a camoflage net draped over the top, apparently, there is a helicopter inside (ive seen running rotors but was to low to identify) any ideas what it is? also some years ago there wa an airframe of a dragonfly next door i doubt its that but who knows, any ideas?

Drove past BB on Saturday and there was the tail of a JetRanger (blue and white)sticking out of the hangar next to the M61. No idea as to which one but it is obviously still used…

You will presumably have now worked out from JonathonF’s reworking of ‘Python’s Parrot sketch ‘bereft’, in this context, means ’empty of’.

Botany Bay village, Chorley is on page 94 of “Wrecks & Relics” saying that, as at last November, the site was “bereft of airframes”.
The helicopter that had been there was JetRanger G-OBAY.
