German Seafury to Duxford by helicopter – Image request

Can anybody in the Seafury fraternity please direct me to an image of the German Seafury being air lifted to Duxford suspended from a helicopter?

That is my understanding.

My understanding also, the big challenge being the Centarus, and numerous other projects on hand, the airframe being (relatively) sound (from personal review).

The latest Classic Wings has an excellent article on Precision, including the announcement of a previously unknown and currently un-serialed P-40F for TFC.

D-CACY was the only singleseater FB.11. All other German Target Tugs, from the Deutsche Luftberatungs Dienst, were TT.20s.

On behalf of the new owner.

Many thanks one and all for the responses.

This aircraft is currently on its way to foreign climes and it is minus its main undercarriage gear doors.

Did it lose them along the way or were they never there in the first place?

True, some panels and all the control surfaces were removed for the air lift but all images referred above show the gear doors missing.

Unless you know different.

Actually August 1995 Aeroplane Monthly (though July’s issue had a nice picture of an A20 being lifted
