I know what you mean, I recently watched the whole series again after not seeing it for many years. My wife who had never seen it before was instantly hooked as well.

I watched it a few years ago, and one thing that has stuck in my mind was the scene of the two ladies sitting on a bench, eating chocolate if I remember corectly, after their husbands had both been killed. Their sense of loss seemed so horribly real, and you couldn’t help but feel that sense of loss too. A very powerful scene.
