From Barry Clay’s ‘Wings Over Warwickshire’ site news that Convair CV580 N631MW is visiting Coventry.
Apparently it was originally a CV340 then converted to a CV440 and, later, converted again to a CV580.
No idea how long it is staying.

N631MW was noted yesterday (Monday 4th September) here at Seeb Airport, Muscat, Oman.
I couldn’t see it this morning.
I wish it and its crew a safe onward journey.

Thanks Dave, how can the CIA get away with ‘interdiction’ flights when we have this level of spotter reporting available to us? 😀 Welcome to the Forum! 🙂

The aircraft had a tech snag at Shannon and visited Coventry for rectification of this.

Stopped by at Baginton about 11.30 this morn (Wed) and couldn’t see it outside so presumably already departed for Florence.

Anyone know what it is doing at Coventry?
En-route from the USA to New Zealand for Pioneer. Former Hydro Quebec (still in their livery) and Contract Air Cargo aircraft. Routing Shannon – Coventry – Florence, Coventry stop was seemingly added somewhat unexpectedly as it was originally planned to route Shannon – Florence direct. Departed Coventry Wednesday morning.

I saw it today taxying on the far East side amongst the “dead” Emerald HS748 and thought it also to be a ‘748. Only when it pulled up outside on the West apron did I clock it and confirmed the reg N631MW. A rare beastie.
