possible new cold war museum

A contact of mine has told me that funds have been raised to preserve Upper Heyford as a cold war museum. I have not seen anything in the media about this. Does anyone have any further info?

At the moment it is used by a firm that imports cars. I have a friend that works Audi/ VW,s and Skodas their. He hasn’t told me of any plans for a museum.
