Tangmere 1941 – who is on the terrace?

Attached photo was taken Summer of 1941 – from left are Woodhall, Burton and Bader but who are the other three? All help gratefully recieved!

Agreed that the man on Bader’s left is Stan Turner. Any chance of blowing the pic up a bit for a better look?

The guy seated immediately on Bader’s left looks very much like Stan Turner, who at the time would either have been a Flight Commander in 242sqn or CO of 145sqn, both part of Bader’s Tangmere Wing.

Just a guess, but the chap seated far right could well be Ronald Adam, one of the Group Controllers at Tangmere, who is frequently seen in many of the old official films about the Battle of Britain (or just about any other air battle that required scenes of controllers doing their work). Post war Mr Adam created a nice little niche for himself, as he starred in many war films during the 50’s re-creating his wartime job, in fact I think he was the only controller they ever had in those films!
